Withers or Not is a project that has been in the works for the last two years. I started really going public with my music when the pandemic began in 2020. I had not even landed on my artist name, 93 Energy until that point even after making beats off and on for almost 8 years. The musical journey of Bill Withers really emphasized the grit of this time and resonated with me. Before he got signed to a record label he worked for as an assembler in several factories and in his spare time knocked on doors until somebody answered regarding his music. The album begins with an interview toward the beginning of his musical career and ends with an interview in the later stage of his life regarding the state of the music business.

In honor of his working spirit, 75% of proceeds towards this project will go to SEIU 6 seiu6.org a union here in Seattle, Washington. I am needing a newer laptop and upgraded gear so the remainder will go towards supporting me directly as an artist and other life expenses.
